Carolina Core Housing Study
Carolina Core Housing Study
In June 2024, NC REALTORS and Mid Carolina Regional Association of REALTORS, along with 10 other local associations, collaborated with Bowen National Research to complete a 21-county Housing Needs Assessment of the Carolina Core Region in the state of North Carolina. The executive summary of this study was presented at the Carolina Core Housing Summit at High Point University in September of 2024.
In conjunction with the regional Housing Needs Assessment, individual housing overviews were also prepared for select counties within the region.
MCRAR then partnered with the Moore County Chamber of Commerce and Moore County Economic Development Partnership to have Mr. Patrick Bowen present this information at Sandhills Community College on March 4th, 2025. In attendance were local government officials, chamber members, MCEDP members, along with our Staff, Board of Directors and many MCRAR members.
This housing overview includes a summary of demographic, economic and housing metrics specific to Moore County, North Carolina. To provide a base of comparison, various metrics of Moore County are compared with overall region and statewide numbers.
